Logan + Cally

Down a hidden road on the up of a hill in Albany, Tx stands the beautiful, rustic barn wedding venue, Happy Wife Happy Life. And inside housed many people who were getting ready to celebrate the love of Logan & Cally.

With a high of 95 degrees for the day (and felt like 102), we definitely were feeling the heat - and I'm not just talking from the love, haha.

Cally and her bridal party were upstairs in the bridal suite getting ready for the big day. Drinks were flowing and the mixed sounds of Shania Twain and Britney Spears came flowing out of the speakers to get the crew pumped.

Downstairs in the groom suite, however, were not sounds of Twain and Spears, lol.

Logan and his groomsmen sat around a table that contained Michelob Ultra cans and groomsmen gifts that consisted of catchall trays and Makers Mark and Fireball bottles.

These guys... let me tell you. They were a bunch of clowns - and it was awesome. I love weddings where the bridal parties are having fun, laid back, and cracking jokes right and left. It helps alleviate nerves and awkwardness - and there was NO awkwardness anywhere near this venue, haha.

As a wedding photographer, it helps when the bridal party is not only fun and outgoing but helpful and willing to do whatever is needed of me. And this bridal party did just that. I loved it.

The wedding ceremony was breathtaking. It overlooked a beautiful field of trees and greenery for miles - which made you completely forget the heat. After the bridal party came down the aisle, the formal music stopped - and then, Def Leppards' 'Pour some sugar on me' came on as two flower men were led down the aisle by one of Callys' sisters' boyfriends, Wade. Who had a beer belt on and was offering free beer to guests as the flower men tossed flower petals from their fannypacks. It was a sight to see.

Finally, Cally came down the aisle looking gorgeous as expected and the ceremony began. It went fairly quickly as I think everyone was ready to eat, drink and celebrate the two newlyweds. But before we could go to the reception, Logan & Cally wanted to start off their marriage by shotgunning a beer together for the first time as Mr. & Mrs. (see photo below)

The rest of the night went extremely well. These two knew how to put on a party and everyone that came to the wedding helped add to that (as you can see from photos below).

Drinks were drunk, food was eaten, the cake was enjoyed and dancing never stopped - other than for when someone got 'iced'.

Now, for those who don't know what iced is, Icing is defined as a drinking game: “The rules are simple: if a person sees a Smirnoff Ice, he or she must get down on one knee and chug it".

After one last final private dance and a beautiful sparkler exit, the Woods' left in a limo taking them to their hotel for the night and they embarked on their new life and honeymoon together in beautiful Mexico.

Thank you guys so much for having me, Logan & Cally!!

It was a wedding I'll never forget!!
