MEET HUNTER

Abilene, Texas born - Breckenridge, Texas raised - Denton, Texas based

I believe in getting to know my clients more than just on a business level - I want to know my clients personally.

With that being said, getting to know me personally is a must for you, the client, too!

I can honestly say I never in a million years ever saw myself doing what I do now as a photographer as my forever career.

I was born in Abilene, Texas, and raised in the small town of Breckenridge, where I learned early the value of hard work, humility, and perseverance. During high school, I worked in a grocery store and later in the service industry—experiences that shaped my work ethic and appreciation for people. After graduating from Breckenridge High School in 2008, I continued gaining hands-on experience in food and service while figuring out where I was meant to go next.

In 2010, after earning my Associate’s degree from Weatherford College, I moved to Denton, Texas, to attend the University of North Texas. Drawn to storytelling and creativity, I pursued a degree in Broadcast & Digital Journalism, graduating in 2020. That same year marked a major turning point—I took a leap of faith and went full-time with my photography business. Balancing school, work, and entrepreneurship wasn’t easy, but it built the foundation for everything that followed.

Before fully committing to photography, I spent years in the food and hospitality industry, working my way from serving to kitchen management. Eventually, a Canon Rebel T3i changed everything. What began as curiosity quickly became passion, and I transitioned back to bartending to create the flexibility needed to grow creatively. Since then, photography has opened doors I never imagined—projects in the restaurant and commercial space, celebrity shoots, magazine features in Italy, national and online publications, and multiple awards. My work has taken me across the country, from Malibu, California to Tampa, Portland, Pigeon Forge, and beyond—each place shaping my eye, my style, and my story.

In 2024, after losing more than 165 pounds, I challenged myself in an entirely new way by stepping on a bodybuilding stage for the first time. I competed in my debut show, placed, and qualified for the 2025 championships. In 2025, I placed 4th at the championship level, leaving with even more hardware, and later that year competed internationally in Canada, where I placed 2nd. In total, I completed three bodybuilding competitions within a single year—improving at every show. Now at 36, I’m in the best shape of my life, both physically and mentally. In 2026, my goal is clear: compete more and earn my natural pro card.

Along the way, I’ve never stopped betting on myself. A fun fact—back in 2009, I auditioned for American Idol, and in 2013, I gave Big Brother a shot. Neither panned out, but both reinforced something I live by: growth requires courage, and dreams require action.

Today, I work in marketing for a luxury pool and spa company, combining creativity, strategy, and storytelling on a larger scale. Outside of work, my most important role is being a proud single father to two incredible boys. They are my why—the driving force behind everything I do. Each year, I strive to grow in every area of my life: in business, in faith, in fitness, and most importantly, as a father.

My journey hasn’t been linear, but it’s been intentional. I believe in showing up, putting in the work, and trusting that discipline and faith will always compound over time. And I’m just getting started.
