KYLE + TIFFANY

On a beautiful Thursday, I traveled to Sherman, Texas to capture the love of Kyle & Tiffany at the breathtaking Hills of Luella.

Down many winding roads and gorgeous green scenery, I came upon this beautiful, rustic-style barn that overlooked a lake.

I was excited to shoot at this venue as it has only been open for less than a year - and it was stunning!

Speaking of stunning, when I got to the venue, the bride, Tiffany, already had her hair & makeup done and was doing her daughter, Whitley's, hair while champagne was popped and music was going, everyone was in a great mood and getting ready for what was sure to be an amazing day.

I met the wedding coordinator, Haley, and we were joined at the hip the whole day/night. I felt like I have known her all my life because while we got everything done and on time, we were constantly laughing with (and at) each other - she is AWESOME!

I met the groom, Kyle, while he was in the grooms' suite/cabin along with his brother and other family members. Kyle is just the nicest guy and was such a good sport when I was ready for his side of the photos and when I told him, "okay, now I need you to be locked away in the cabin and don't look outside", he didn't argue, haha.

Pre-ceremony photos went PERFECT and we were ahead of schedule (which is always great).

Guests were arriving and getting their seats and as I was walking down to the ceremony spot, I got into a funny conversation with Tiffany's grandparents, Mike & Donna, who was just lovely - Mike is a character for sure! This makes sense since his son, Michael/Mike is Tiffanys' father and we just all got along as if we had known each other forever.

The ceremony started and went off great as Kyle & Tiffany joined hands under a beautiful gazebo overlooking the lake. Michael (the officiant), was such a good sport in helping guide the ceremony very smoothly. But, before they said their 'I Do's, the maid-of-honor, Marcie, who is also Michaels' wife, decided to spring a little surprise on the couple by icing them at the altar!

Now, for anyone who doesn't know what 'icing' means, Icing is a  drinking game in which one person, conceals a bottle of Smirnoff Ice in a place that another individual will find it or be given it. Upon doing so they are immediately required to kneel and drink it. (See photo below).

After the icing was over and the couple said their I Do's, they were officially announced for the first time as Mr. & Mrs. Wise!!

Post-ceremony photos began immediately after the ceremony and we got them knocked out in such a good and clean order that even the DJ, Dj Gus, said he loved how quick and easy the photography process went and was even impressed with the fact that we had some time to spare!

The rest of the evening went amazing as the cake was cut, food was served and speeches were made - and the speeches, oh boy... you needed a tissue for the Best Mans' speech. Kyle's best man and brother, Jimmie, gave a speech that brought a tear to everybody's eyes - it was special, to say the least.

Then came crazy Marcie, haha. She is seriously one of the best maids of honors that I've worked with and her personality and humor was the best.

I had such an amazing time with this couple, their family, and the venue and vendors that were there and I cannot wait to return again to shoot at this beautiful venue.

Congrats to Mr. & Mrs. Wise!!!!

Thanks for reading!
