DANIEL + CATHY

BRYAN, TX

Oh, these two lovebirds.

I traveled 450+ miles roundtrip to the town of Bryan, TX to shoot the wedding of Daniel & Cathy at the Brazos Cotton Exchange in downtown Bryan.

This gorgeous place was very unique.

The wedding was on the 3rd floor of the Brazos Cotton Exchange while the first floor was a restaurant/bar (not sure what the 2nd floor was) but, that was so unique and different.

It also shared a circular driveway area with the LaSalle Hotel, which is where everyone was staying, and it was such a historical hotel and you could tell in the architecture and could feel the history throughout the hallways - I love places like that!

Daniel is an old friend of mine from Denton, TX and we are actually Phi Kappa Sigma fraternity brothers so, that made this reunion and wedding extra special because of that.

This was the first time I met Cathy and she was such a delight and just so chill and laid back. There was no need to be stressed and overwhelmed, especially for Cathy because.... she's pregnant!! (I'll touch more on that in a minute)

But even for Cathy being pregnant, you could not even tell because when she got into her dress, she looked STUNNING! And not that a pregnant woman in a dress isn't stunning, you just couldn't tell she is expecting.

After getting ready with the guys and doing some pre-ceremony photos with them, it was time for the ceremony!

Cathy's uncle married the two and it was a beautiful ceremony. Full of laughter, emotions, and prayers - it was perfect.

After the two said their I Do's, it was time for post-ceremony photos - and they wanted to do something I've never done before.

In the hotel, there was a bar, and it looked like an old-timey bar, almost like a saloonish vibe.

And so, everyone got a drink - mostly whiskey on the rocks, and we did some formal photos in there (see photos above and below)

We finished post-ceremony photos and it was party time!

As we headed upstairs to the reception, the smell of BBQ filled the air.

Daniel, the groom, had smoked and cooked (I think like 4 briskets - it could've been more) and everything smelt amazing! And it was delicious too!!

And I knew from the get-go that this crowd was not going to have any problems getting down at the reception - and I was right, haha.

Between the hilarious entrances from the wedding party being introduced, the first dance and group dances, speeches and toasts, and the occasional cheers between friends and family, this was SUCH a fun time!

Oh yeah... remember when I said Cathy was expecting? Well, this wedding was full of firsts for me because when the couple cut their wedding cake, it was actually going to reveal the color of the gender of the baby!

You read that right - the gender reveal was happening AT the wedding!

AND ITS A GIRL! The reactions were absolutely hysterical as Cathy already has two girls herself - so, good luck Daniel, haha.

I am so happy for these two and I see absolutely nothing but happiness and excitement for these two and their little family!

Congrats Mr. & Mrs. Morrison!!

Thanks for reading!
