“It’s amazing how one day someone walks into your life, and you cannot remember how you ever lived without them.”

John DAVID + Jillian

On a perfectly cool, crisp (and a tad windy) 69-degree day in Terrell, Texas at the gorgeous Springs Rockwall Manor venue contained many friends, family and loved ones that were all meshed together to witness the marriage of John David & Jillian.

Now, there is a backstory to these two - Back in February of this year, Jillian had set up a couples session for the two of them - and then JD messaged me a few days later saying he was going to propose. AND I WAS ECSTATIC!!

These two are.... how can I say this... Perfect? They are two of the sweetest and most kind people I've ever met (and worked with).

I worked with both JD and Jill at Topgolf in The Colony and I got to know both of them very well - and these two are destined for each other.

I knew this wedding was going to be a big one and a fun one at that - and I couldn't have been more right. When I showed up, my second shooter, Latisha, and I went and saw the bridal party in the bridal suite getting ready and it was already a party. That room was FULL of ladies getting ready for the big day!

Latisha spent time with the guys in the grooms' suite while they got ready and although I wasn't in there, I saw the photos and I know these guys and I know they were just rowdy and awesome!! Such a great group of guys and a great group to stand next to JD when he marries the girl of his dreams.

Latisha and I got detail shots, dress photos, bridesmaids' dresses photos, venue shots, etc... and we were already running around like crazy, but, it was so worth it. Because when I was going back to the bridal suite to do photos of Jillian getting into her dress, I opened the door, and WOW - she was absolutely stunning!

After a few shots of mom zipping her up and getting shoes on, we did the first look with the bridesmaids and that was such an amazing sight to see and a beautiful experience to be a part of - everyone's jaw was on the floor when they turned around and saw Jillian in her dress. She was gorgeous to say the least.

Pre-ceremony photos went off without a hitch and went perfectly. Especially after I had all the groomsmen and the groom chase to a beer - which made for an awesome photo!!

Prior to the ceremony, Jill and JD did a first reading back to back with each other and it was beautiful - you could see the love and excitement in their eyes and body language.

Then, the ceremony began! After parents, grandparents, bridesmaids, and groomsmen made it down the aisle, it was time for Jill and her dad to come down the aisle - and there were wet eyes everywhere. Especially when the officiant, Spencer, gave JD the queue to turn around to see his bride for the first time and he lost it - it was so pure and special. I absolutely loved his reaction and he dang near got me to shed a tear as well.

After a quick ceremony, the couple said their I Do's and they were off!

Post-ceremony photos went great and in an extremely timely manner! Which meant we had more time to spend with the bride and groom to capture golden hour photos (the ceremony time couldn't have been more perfect).

After a beautiful and romantic golden hour session, we went inside and got ready for the reception.

The entrances from the wedding party and bride and groom were awesome! Each couple had something up their sleeves, which I just knew they would!

The reception never died - there was never not anyone on the dance floor. DJ Andre 'Bring that beat back' blasted great music all night and kept the crowd going. There were dance-offs, twerking, and lots and lots of laughs! By the end of the reception, I myself, was losing my voice! It was so good that I, the photographer, was even in the middle dancing (and I might've gotten down to WAP - just maybe, though).

We did a fake exit at 8:30. One, for photos. But two, it got the crowd EXTREMELY hyped - which shows in photos.

And like I mentioned, we all worked together at Topgolf. And there were probably 60-70% of Topgolf people that either attended or were in the wedding. So, of course, we had to get a huge Topgolf group photo! (and I was actually able to be in it rather than take the photo!! Thanks, Latisha!!)

The end of the night went perfectly as the couple had their last dance on the dance floor to 'Heaven' by Bryan Adams.

I could not be more blessed and thankful for these two and them choosing me to capture not only their proposal and engagement but also their wedding - it means the absolute world to me and more than they will ever know.

Thank you so much, JD & Jill.

May God bless your marriage!

Congrats to Mr. & Mrs. Gibson!!!
